A former Guatemalan Air Force Mustang (either FAG-315 or FAG-351). I have this photo somewhere, but the photo shown above, has had both the FAG-serial and the N registration, erased. The Yellow and Blue insignia ahead and below the cockpit, was not a Guatemalan marking. Guatemala operated some 30 P-51Ds between 1954 and 1973-74 when they were finally replaced by the Cessna A-37B. Right, which one?

Based on the shape of the dark green/cream?/dark green areas under the cockpit, I would say FAG-354. The pattern matches perfectly with another side view I have. Cheers Marc

A 20NA model. Assigned to Montana Air Guard in 1947. Called up for Korean conflict in 1951, served at Moody AFB Georgia, George AFB Ca, Waco Texas, "Operation Long Horn". Returned to Montana Air Guard in 1953 and later to Minn Air Guard. Served in Guatemala, one of six bought by Connie Edwards of Big Springs, Texas. Sold and restored as "Miss Marilyn" by Ezell aviation of Breckenridge, Texas. Still Flying. Missed the Boxer assignment to Japan in 1950 because had no rocket rails. Spent many hours tuning and fixing the old girl.
