This aicraft was owned by Stan Hoke. He had it as an entry in the Harold's Club Transcontinental Trophy Dash in 1964. I think it was destroyed in an accident in about 1966.

This is 45-11489 possibly while in ownership by Cavalier Aircraft (Trans Florida Aviation) of Sarasota, FL. I note the tip tanks do not have landing lights in them at the time of this photo. It did have so later, so this photo might have been shot during refurbishment by Cavalier.

This photograph was taken during development of the tip-tank modification. N5421V was the prototype for certification of the tip-tank STC. Pilot is the late William P. Brownell, test pilot for the tip-tank project. Brownell was later project manager for the first RR-Dart powered prototype, used as a proof-of-concept for the later Enforcer with the Lycoming T-55.
